Job Description
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer for AI Infrastructure protects the reliability and security of the company's AI and machine learning platforms. The systems in scope cover data pipelines, machine learning workspaces, annotation tooling and model serving. Reliability is handled here as a product: observability, automation and cautious change come first, which frees data scientists and ML engineers to focus on AI features that help patients.
Much of the work is hands-on. The engineer builds automation, sets guardrails, strengthens platforms and leads incident response across cloud environments, including Databricks and Azure AI services. Ownership covers service-level targets, error budgets and reliability goals for the underlying infrastructure, plus alert quality and telemetry coverage. It also checks that backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures actually work.
Platform security is a central duty. That covers network segmentation, secrets handling, encryption and data protection, kept in line with compliance obligations. The engineer partners with security staff on new threats, runs game days and resilience exercises, and coaches other engineers.
The role is full time and hybrid. A minimum of five years in site reliability, platform or infrastructure work backing live cloud systems is needed. Preferred extras include planning for disaster recovery, designing across regions, and managing spend. The listing does not state a salary.
Responsibilities
- Define and hold accountable the targets, error budgets and reliability goals for AI platform infrastructure
- Raise observability, alert quality and telemetry coverage across platform components
- Create infrastructure-as-code, automation for operations, and change-management workflows
- Put platform security controls in place, such as network segmentation, secrets management and encryption
- Lead incident response and blameless postmortem reviews

- Coach engineers and shape design reviews and operating standards
Requirements
- At least five years of site reliability, platform or infrastructure experience backing live cloud estates
- Strong command of observability, including metrics, logs, traces and SLI or SLO frameworks

- Strong use of Terraform, GitOps and CI/CD for infrastructure changes
- Working cloud administration skills and experience running managed data or AI platforms, such as Databricks or Azure ML
- Working grasp of platform security: secrets handling, encryption for stored and moving data, and key management
- Strong programming skills for automation and operational tooling
- Clear writing and speaking, including runbooks and postmortems
Qualifications
- Experience with disaster recovery design, multi-region patterns and cost control or FinOps
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, blue/green and canary releases, and data lineage tools
- Work in medical-data, life-science or other tightly controlled sectors that carry privacy obligations
