GitLab seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to act as a trusted advisor to prospective and current clients. In this capacity, you will demonstrate how GitLab's artificial intelligence-powered DevSecOps platform satisfies both technical and business goals throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Reporting directly to a regional Solutions Architect Manager and collaborating closely with Account Executives, you will steer technical evaluations, manage proofs of concept or value, build solution architectures, and represent the customer's voice to Product Management.
This position suits professionals with a strong technical pre-sales or consulting background who possess deep knowledge of modern software development practices, cloud concepts, and continuous integration workflows. Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions, software demonstrations, and validation activities to showcase the platform across the full development lifecycle.
- Manage the technical evaluation process as the directly responsible individual, including solution designs, proofs of concept, workshops, and audits.
- Partner with Account Executives and sales teams in Italy to formulate and drive account strategies for customer acquisition and expansion.
- Foster relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders to guide their digital transformations and encourage platform advocacy.
- Advise clients on modern software development methodologies, cloud environments, and security operations to maximize return on investment.
- Relay customer feedback, use cases, and competitive findings back to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Develop reusable technical collateral, best practice guides, and examples for partners and customers while expanding personal expertise in AI and cloud tech.
Requirements
- Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or comparable roles guiding clients through solution design and evaluation.
- Proficiency with the complete software development lifecycle, continuous integration, and continuous deployment workflows.
- Practical background working with GitLab or similar collaboration, source control, and CI/CD platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud computing principles, security, and deployment operations.
- Capability to conduct technical evaluations like proofs of concept, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Clear communication and presentation skills tailored for both technical practitioners and executive decision-makers.
- Fluency in Arabic.
