Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Enterprise Solutions Engineering team on a full-time basis. This role suits technical professionals who want to work at a high-growth technology startup and act as customer-facing product experts. The Enterprise Solutions Engineering team drives global growth by educating potential and existing customers, leading technical evaluations, and partnering directly with the sales organization to close opportunities. Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to explain the overall Grafana value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers
- Manage technical customer engagements to help close high-velocity opportunities using competitive knowledge and technical credibility
- Deliver product and technical presentations to both potential and existing clients
- Communicate proactively with clients and internal departments to supply feedback regarding products and the competitive landscape
- Drive product discussions based on needs and problems identified during customer interactions
- Collaborate with the team to produce documentation, blog posts, video recordings, knowledge base articles, and other enablement materials
Requirements
- Located in Canada
- Five or more years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally involving Open Source technologies or the Metrics and Monitoring space
- Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills suited for a startup environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote-first, international team
- First-class written and oral communication skills to present technical advantages to worldwide customers
Qualifications
- Technical mindset with a desire for ongoing technical growth
- Background as a recent coding bootcamp graduate, or previous post-sales or engineering experience
- Self-motivated, initiative-driven, and creative approach to problem-solving
