Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its fully remote team based in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will act as a key technical product expert, connecting prospective and current clients with the company's observability technology. Operating as a bridge between customers, sales representatives, and internal engineering groups, you will guide technical evaluations, conduct product demonstrations, and help close complex business opportunities. Grafana Labs is the developer of Grafana Cloud, a managed observability platform utilized by over 10,000 organizations internationally. This position suits a technical professional who excels at understanding customer needs, explaining advanced product capabilities, and collaborating in a globally distributed, innovation-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales department to communicate the overall value proposition, strategy, and vision of Grafana Labs to clients
- Lead technical customer engagements and facilitate the closure of complex deals through deep product expertise and competitive insight
- Deliver product and technical presentations to both prospective and existing customers
- Relay customer feedback regarding products and the competitive landscape to internal engineering and product management teams
- Drive problem-focused product discussions with clients
- Collaborate with team members to produce enablement resources such as documentation, blog posts, video recordings, and knowledge base articles
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of technical pre-sales experience
- Strong judgment, leadership, and collaboration skills to handle diverse and complex assignments
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities for interacting with worldwide clients and remote-first colleagues
- Capacity to articulate product technical advantages and value propositions clearly
- Strong technical mindset paired with an eagerness for continuous technical growth
- Location within the United Kingdom
Qualifications
- Prior background working with Open Source technologies
- Familiarity with the metrics and monitoring industry
- Experience utilizing sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC
