This on-site position operates within the Product Design division, where design collaborates directly with product management and engineering. The professional joining this team will guide strategic design projects focused on Microsoft Teams and Slack, developing an industry-leading artificial intelligence assistant that changes employee workflows.
The role involves crafting comprehensive experiences, interaction models, and frameworks that reach across multiple assistant platforms, integrating wider product features into chat environments. This position requires delivering both tactical design execution and strategic leadership by collaborating with engineering groups located in India alongside international product and design leadership. Responsibilities
- Manage strategic design initiatives for Microsoft Teams and Slack to shape the direction of the AI assistant
- Define comprehensive experiences, interaction models, and frameworks that extend across multiple assistant touchpoints
- Deliver strategic direction and practical design leadership by collaborating with engineering and global product leaders
- Keep initiatives aligned with the overarching assistant strategy by sharing insights and decisions across various teams
- Elevate design standards through hands-on craft, mentorship, and organizational influence
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant design experience with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional interaction design, systems thinking, and end-to-end product ownership
- Experience leading complex, cross-product initiatives and influencing product strategy across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience designing AI-powered products, collaboration tools, or enterprise workflows
- Strong practical design skills covering everything from concepts and prototypes to detailed specifications and implementation
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance user needs with platform constraints, and communicate decisions clearly across global teams
- A track record of mentoring designers and elevating the bar for product experiences
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Slack or Microsoft Teams
