ServiceNow is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Moveworks team in Bengaluru. This full-time position centers on developing foundational infrastructure services and microservices that support frontend, platform, and machine learning engineering groups.
The person in this role will construct core infrastructure components for capabilities such as rate limiting, feature flagging, distributed configuration management, traffic capture and replay, and A/B testing. Responsibilities also include enhancing the scalability, performance, and observability of the Moveworks cloud infrastructure, steering features from conception to completion, guiding the infrastructure roadmap, and consistently shipping interdependent, time-sensitive projects alongside other technical teams.

Responsibilities
- Build core infrastructure services and microservices impacting machine learning, frontend, and platform teams
- Develop core infrastructure for rate limiting, distributed configuration management, feature flags, A/B testing, and traffic capture and replay
- Improve the scalability, performance, and observability of the Moveworks cloud infrastructure
- Deliver deadline-sensitive work regularly that is interdependent with other engineering teams
- Own features end-to-end and influence the infrastructure roadmap
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining backend distributed systems
- Familiarity with Java, Python, Golang, or C++
- Experience with containers and Docker
- Experience with cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience solving for performance, optimization, scalability, latency, and monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in computer science or a related field
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
