Job Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Senior Technical Recruiter role in London, sitting in the Engineering Recruiting group within Deliveroo's People function. The recruiter finds and hires the engineers who build and expand the company's technology, from the mobile application through to the systems that process each order.
The role covers end-to-end recruitment for the most senior engineering hires, such as principal and staff level engineers and those who lead engineering teams. The recruiter counsels engineering leads, product leaders and People partners on how roles should be shaped and how hiring should proceed, and designs sourcing approaches that weigh speed, quality, diversity and the candidate's experience.
Additional work includes translating market research, recruiting statistics and People Analytics dashboards into guidance for hiring managers. The recruiter refines how candidates are assessed and how interview panels are calibrated, works with talent acquisition operations on new tools and data accuracy, and leads efforts that improve hiring processes. Coaching junior recruiters and sourcers is also part of the role.

- Manage full-cycle hiring for senior engineering roles, including Principal, Staff and engineering leadership positions.
- Counsel engineering leads, product leaders and People partners on hiring strategy and role design.
- Apply recruiting metrics and People Analytics to guide decisions and improve pipeline results.
- Improve assessment frameworks and interview calibration with talent acquisition operations.
- Build inclusive practices into job design, sourcing and the candidate experience.
- Coach junior recruiters and sourcers in good practice.
Requirements
- Experience running end-to-end technical recruitment in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or product business.
- Track record of filling complex senior roles such as Staff or Principal engineers and engineering managers.
- Excellent sourcing and stakeholder management, including influence over senior engineering leaders.
- Working knowledge of recruitment data and tools, including applicant tracking systems such as Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Experience leading talent acquisition improvements with a high degree of independence.
Qualifications
- Experience building recruiting dashboards alongside People Analytics specialists.
- Experience developing mid-level recruiters and sourcers inside an engineering talent function.
