Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site Program Manager role in Manchester, placed in the Operational Support group within Deliveroo's SMB Hub. The Hub houses Sales, New Partner Experience, Account Management and Partner Support, which together oversee ties with thousands of self-employed restaurant and shop partners in Europe. Support is delivered through a Manchester contact centre that is run in-house, plus outside suppliers.

The job involves steering the design and rollout of large programmes, including engagement frameworks, communications and change projects. The purpose is to keep the Hub's commercial objectives progressing and measurable. The program manager handles several initiatives at once, from scoping and oversight through sign-off, messaging and reporting, and uses a recognised method such as PRINCE2 or Six Sigma to control milestones, risk and quality.

Other duties include converting Hub priorities into delivery plans that support business goals like ad income growth and partners taking up Ads and Offers. The role owns the SMB communications strategy, tracks engagement and adoption numbers, produces clear reports for senior leaders and joins up the commercial groups and Operations. Building career pathways and capability for the Hub also falls within the remit.

The posting suits a structured delivery professional with strong project or programme management skills and a clear way of ranking priorities. Excellent written and spoken communication, comfort with data, and the poise to deal with senior stakeholders are essential. Three or more years in project, programme or operations work is typical, and PRINCE2 or Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Run large SMB initiatives end to end, from scoping to sign-off and reporting.
  • Bring PRINCE2 or Six Sigma discipline to programmes, covering milestones, risk handling and quality checks.
  • Set up an engagement model for the Hub that governs how work is ranked, staffed and tracked.
  • Translate Hub priorities into delivery plans linked to ad revenue growth and partner take-up of Ads and Offers.
  • Own SMB messaging, covering channels, sequencing and accountability.
  • Track delivery and engagement figures and adjust plans to manage risk.
  • Match delivery capacity to the needs of senior leaders across Sales, NPX and Account Management.
  • Drive career pathway and capability-building work for the Hub.

Requirements

  • Hands-on grounding in project and programme work, ideally a PRINCE2 or Six Sigma background or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Excellent time management across several concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong written and spoken communication, adapted to different audiences including senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex plans to deadlines using a clear prioritisation model.
  • Comfort using data and metrics to evidence impact.
  • A collaborative style for bringing people together across functions.

Qualifications

  • Three years or more working in projects, programmes or operations, or in a similar setting.
  • PRINCE2 or Six Sigma certification, or an equivalent (preferred).
  • Hands-on delivery of communications, engagement or change work at scale.
  • Experience in a commercial or contact-centre setting.
