BeyondTrust is seeking a Software Development Engineer for a fixed-term contract. This remote position offers a unique chance to act as a technical leader in building, launching, and maintaining Entitle, which is BeyondTrust's Just-In-Time Access Management system. Team members design, build, and support resilient backend components and orchestration technologies while collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality platform systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain highly scalable backend components, services, and orchestration systems
- Provide technical leadership for projects of growing complexity
- Deliver exceptional user experiences for complex API-driven integrations
- Review technical and functional requirements to spot gaps, propose simplifications, and share ideas with cross-functional groups
- Take end-to-end ownership of results individually and collaboratively
- Apply engineering best practices to maintain high standards of quality
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in delivering and supporting enterprise-ready cloud-based systems
- Hands-on background architecting and developing both frontend and backend services
- Software development experience in any programming language
- Background in developing scalable microservices architectures
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery strategies
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting methods
- Acquaintance with unit testing frameworks and end-to-end testing tools
- Understanding of software development best practices including resilient architectures, testing paradigms, and peer code reviews
Qualifications
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, object stores, and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with NestJS, React, Fastify, and MikroORM
