Operating on a remote basis with openness to candidates across various US cities, this position involves partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to shape technical strategies for major accounts. Databricks functions as a data and AI enterprise, offering a unified platform utilized by over twenty thousand organizations globally to manage data engineering, machine learning, and business analytics. In this role, the selected professional acts as the principal technical voice for clients, guiding them through technology adoption and driving data-driven business transformations.
This position requires an individual capable of establishing virtual cross-functional teams, cultivating executive relationships, and presenting persuasive technical perspectives. Candidates must possess technical expertise across cloud computing, big data, and data science, alongside programming capabilities in Python, SQL, or Scala. Travel up to 35 percent of the time may be required. Databricks provides a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of USD 180,000 to 247,500 per year, alongside potential equity, performance bonuses, and regional benefit offerings.
Responsibilities
- Define and direct technical strategies for major accounts alongside Enterprise Account Executives
- Serve as the primary technical voice for Databricks across multiple client engagements
- Guide customers through evaluation and adoption phases of the platform
- Build a network of technical champions within assigned accounts
- Provide structured mentorship to other team members
Requirements
- Experience in pre-sales roles assisting large enterprises with data-driven transformations
- Track record of managing very large global accounts exceeding 1 million USD in annual recurring revenue
- Technical background in cloud computing, big data, and data science
- Programming skills in Python, SQL, or Scala
- Ability to travel up to 35 percent of the time when necessary
