Job Description

This full-time role in London is on site and sits at senior individual contributor level. The product owner takes charge of the onboarding journey, which starts when a candidate accepts an offer and ends once the new hire is working at full capacity. The remit covers Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt.

Two functions are involved, People and IT. The product covers the tools, processes and early touchpoints that get hardware, system logins, user accounts, forms and first-week learning sorted before a newcomer's first day. The intent is one unified path for the hire and the hiring manager, replacing fragmented handoffs between teams.

Results are judged through indicators such as how quickly people become productive, how satisfied new staff feel, whether they are ready on day one, and how efficiently operations run. Building reusable features matters here, including coordinated task flows, visibility into where each step stands, and dashboards for managers and newcomers. These need to work across countries, departments and brands.

The ideal candidate has taken complex products from start to finish, particularly in HR, People or IT-facing teams, or other cross-functional settings. Experience blending bespoke internal software with off-the-shelf SaaS platforms, analysing data and managing varied legal and regional rules is important. The person must also set direction and win over senior leaders in both People and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap and delivery for new-hire pre-boarding and onboarding across the three brands, from offer acceptance to full ramp-up.
  • Design workflows that connect People and IT tasks such as provisioning, access, equipment, documentation and early enablement.
  • Define and track onboarding metrics and use them to set priorities and demonstrate impact.
  • Build modular product capabilities that scale across geographies, organisations and brands.
  • Collaborate with IT, People/HR, Analytics, Design and Engineering colleagues to turn process needs into product features.
  • Set the product vision and align senior stakeholders on one onboarding strategy.

Requirements

  • Background in taking products from problem definition through delivery and iteration.
  • Experience designing workflows that span several functions, systems and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with homegrown software alongside vendor products, and joining up data from several systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and a habit of using metrics to define success and set priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including influencing senior leaders.
  • Exposure to working across regions, legal settings or several brands.
  • Ability to balance speed, risk and technical constraints in a fast-moving organisation.

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Benefits vary by country and cover areas such as health care, wellbeing support, parental leave, retirement plans and holidays. Candidates are directed to their recruiter for country-specific details.
  • Competitive salary and equity options.
