Job Description

Culture Amp is looking for a Total Rewards Manager for a fixed-term position running twelve months. The person in this seat should already have a solid base in total rewards and be ready to take on more responsibility for reward work, with a move toward leadership as a possibility. The purpose of the role is to design pay and benefits arrangements that are equitable, competitive against the market and simple for managers to apply consistently.

Working with colleagues in people operations, finance, legal and recruiting, the manager organises the annual pay and promotion rounds from planning through to reporting. Ongoing tasks include keeping salary bands current, benchmarking against the market and overseeing variable pay and equity schemes. Benefits support extends across the Asia-Pacific region, the United States and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The manager also coaches a small group that delivers these programs and produces guidance and training so leaders understand pay structures. Share grant administration, including records and processes for leavers and internal movers, is part of the remit. Analytical work covers fairness reviews of pay and identifying outliers, with recommendations leaders can act on. The position adds controls and audit trails, follows regulatory change such as pay transparency rules, and helps connect reward processes with people operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coach a small team and steer delivery of every reward program
  • Direct the yearly pay and promotion round from planning to reporting, keeping outcomes consistent across regions
  • Maintain pay band governance and market benchmarking alongside recruiting and people partners
  • Analyse pay fairness and cohort data, then propose fixes
  • Tighten policy, compliance and exception handling with clear messages
  • Produce manager guides, FAQs and training on pay fundamentals
  • Administer employee share grants and the related platform, keeping data accurate
  • Help design and launch variable pay schemes
  • Agree spending guardrails with finance and monitor costs
  • Track regulatory and market shifts that affect pay

Requirements

  • Proven background in total rewards and benefits, with appetite for greater ownership
  • Experience designing pay across base, variable, equity and band structures in a growing company
  • Hands-on management of reward work spanning several countries and their local rules
  • Analytical skill and a firm commitment to data quality
  • Track record running annual cycles, range changes and exception handling
  • Ability to draft pragmatic policy and build controls that do not slow delivery
  • Effective partnering with HR partners, recruiters, finance and legal
  • Clear communication with specialists and non-specialists alike

Qualifications

  • Experience across several countries or legal systems
  • Prior US experience is helpful but optional

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Share options through the employee share option program
  • Learning programs and coaching
  • Quarterly refresh days, an extended year-end break and a monthly wellbeing allowance

  • A MacBook and a budget for a home workspace
  • Five paid social impact days each year
  • Medical insurance for employee and family (US and UK only)
