Job Description
PointClickCare is a privately held health technology firm led by its founders, and it is recruiting an entry-level Sales Development Representative for its US team. The SDR supports a Senior Sales Executive and works closely with the Vice President of Sales. The job is remote for people in North America, while the base office is in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company's platform is used by more than 30,000 provider organisations.
The main job is lining up appointments between healthcare prospects and the VP of Sales, many of whom have never encountered the company. Daily activity includes learning the healthcare sector, looking up prospects, drafting an outreach plan with the VP, and phoning or emailing emergency department medical directors, chief medical officers and other executives. Before each meeting, the SDR compiles background notes and market insight. After meetings, the SDR arranges follow-ups, helps move new customers into the sales process, keeps the internal database of metrics up to date, and handles the VP's calendar, logistics and admin.
Goals are measured weekly, monthly and quarterly by the number of meetings secured. Additional projects can be assigned. Some in-person events, such as onboarding, team gatherings, and team meetings held twice a year and once a year, require travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City.
Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent background, customer service experience, and experience working in a team. A sales or fundraising background, clear phone and written communication, a history of exceeding targets, careful attention to detail and the composure to handle setbacks as they happen are valued. US pay on target, combining base salary and commissions, is $76,000 to $85,000, with equity and benefits on top. Benefits begin on day one and include retirement matching, flexible time off, wellness resources, parental and caregiver leave, fertility and adoption support, and an employee assistance program.
