Responsibilities
- Partner with product, engineering, alliance, and marketing teams at partner organizations to align on open-source strategies
- Gather partner requirements, assess gaps, and identify opportunities for Canonical
- Coordinate messaging, content creation, and product launch plans alongside product and marketing teams
- Develop customer-facing and partner-facing resources including reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, presentations, white papers, and videos
- Advocate for Ubuntu adoption among targeted alliance accounts and support enablement training for partner commercial, development, delivery, and support teams
- Encourage alliance partners to build solutions utilizing Canonical technology
- Travel internationally or domestically up to 25 percent of the time for internal conferences and in-person partnership activities
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in science, technology, and/or engineering
- Background in software development and system architecture
- Customer-facing exposure within software engineering, product management, business development, technology strategy, or related functions
- Strong communication capabilities spanning individual contributors up to C-suite stakeholders
- Capacity to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
- Self-motivated and disciplined work ethic suited for a remote-first environment
Qualifications
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university or a compelling alternative path narrative
- Experience with open-source software and open-source business models
- Prior team leadership, product management, or program management background
- Familiarity with marketing and go-to-market strategies
- Sector-specific expertise in finance, telecommunications, automotive, or public sectors
- Working knowledge of independent hardware and software vendor go-to-market motions
- Post-graduate degree in a science, technology, or engineering discipline
