Job Description

Canva is recruiting a Real Estate Partnerships Manager on a contract basis in Austin, Texas. Real estate is the company's biggest vertical by revenue among its leading accounts, and the Listings App is a major reason enterprise property clients pick Canva. The manager is responsible for MLS onboarding from signature to launch, and later widens the remit to new real estate technology alliances.

Most of the work is coordination across several parties: MLS operators, brokerages, the data partner Constellation Data Labs, and internal legal, finance and engineering staff. Duties include completing MLS vendor forms, drafting data licence agreements, handling fee payments, and signing on Canva's behalf as an authorised representative in MLS partnerships. The manager also audits live MLS connections for compliance gaps, manages renewals, advises Product on data needs, and looks for ways to remove manual steps from onboarding.

Candidates should have at least five years working with MLSs, property data vendors or property technology firms. Familiarity with how US multiple listing services run, including IDX and VOW licensing, RESO standards and brokerage data release terms, is expected. The person will create a documented, repeatable onboarding playbook, represent the company at industry events, and translate technical rules into plain-language notes for legal, product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Run MLS onboarding from deal close through to go-live, including kickoff meetings and case tracking
  • Fill in vendor questionnaires, draft data licence agreements and oversee related fees
  • Write and maintain a repeatable onboarding playbook that grows with the vertical
  • Audit active MLS links for compliance issues and coordinate renewals with finance and legal
  • Counsel the Product team on data needs and flag compliance points
  • Find and launch new PropTech data alliances and represent the company at conferences

Requirements

  • Five or more years working in or alongside MLSs, real estate data companies or property tech firms
  • Working knowledge of US MLS rules, IDX and VOW licensing, RESO standards and brokerage data release terms
  • Confidence acting as an authorised representative in negotiations and paperwork
  • Experience running complex, multi-party processes with strict discipline
  • Ability to turn technical requirements into briefs that legal, product and engineering teams can use
  • Self-driven and precise, with a basic grasp of REST APIs, app SDKs and MCPs

Qualifications

  • Working relationships with PropTech firms such as Cloze, Rechat, MoxiWorks, Lofty, Local Logic and LiveBy
  • Working use of Constellation Data Labs, Cotality or comparable MLS data aggregators
  • Exposure to CREA or Canadian MLS systems
  • Legal or compliance background in real estate or data protection
  • Advanced use of AI beyond chat, such as building reusable skills and scheduled automations
