This customer-facing, billable position bridges business goals and technical execution, tasking professionals with architecting and deploying end-to-end data, artificial intelligence, and application solutions utilizing the Databricks Platform.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who possesses deep technical capabilities alongside strong customer empathy. Responsibilities include owning system design, collaborating across product and engineering teams, creating reusable assets, and embedding directly with clients to drive successful adoption. The preferred geographic focus is the San Francisco Bay Area, and applicants must be based there, willing to relocate, or capable of traveling to the region roughly one week each month.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver production-grade systems, custom applications, reference architectures, and machine learning or AI model integrations for strategic accounts
- Partner with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work based on customer input
- Lead architectural and design choices to build secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and organizational standards
- Collaborate with engineering and customer support teams to relay feedback and resolve engagement-specific product issues
- Embed with client teams ranging from technical individual contributors to executives to understand challenges and deliver value
- Build accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across multiple client accounts and guide product direction
- Travel to customer sites up to 20 percent of the time
Requirements
- At least six years of professional background in software engineering, data engineering, or data platforms and analytics
- Proficiency in writing code using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Scala, or modern frameworks
- Working familiarity with a minimum of two common cloud environments alongside expertise in at least one
- Extensive background in distributed computing utilizing Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for production environments
- Practical understanding of MLOps, AI APIs, and machine learning models
- Ability to design and deploy performant production data architectures combining user interfaces, ML models, and data pipelines
