Job Description
Turing is hiring a Vice President, Business Development (BFSI) to work in New York on an on-site basis. The company bridges the gap between frontier AI research and enterprise deployment, helping Fortune 500 corporations implement agentic AI systems while supplying high-quality data and benchmarks to frontier AI labs. This full-time position comes with an annual base salary ranging from USD 340,000 to 395,000, alongside variable compensation, equity, and additional benefits.
This role is tailored for an experienced financial services sales hunter ready to transition from traditional services into an AI-native organization. The primary objective is to acquire new logo accounts across the banking, insurance, asset management, and private equity sectors, guiding them from initial conversations into multi-year artificial intelligence programs. The successful candidate will independently target executive-level stakeholders, partner closely with solutions engineers and AI architects, steer deals through the initial statement of work, and maintain a rigorous pipeline forecast.
The position centers strictly on new account acquisition rather than managing pre-existing client portfolios or handling renewals. It demands high autonomy and a self-directed execution style while remaining accountable to the company leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Compile and curate a target account list consisting of regional banks, mid-size institutions, asset managers, private equity firms, alternative managers, and insurance providers within the first 90 days in coordination with the General Manager of BFSI
- Establish direct contact with executives at the Managing Director tier and above, including chief operating officers, chief information officers, and operations heads
- Drive initial relationship discussions to uncover high-value business challenges and qualify opportunities based on sponsor buy-in, budget availability, and production intent
- Collaborate with solutions engineers and AI architects to shape deals that combine platform access and professional services
- Oversee the commercial sales path through the execution of the initial statement of work and secure follow-on projects for multi-year AI programs
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and deliver reliable forecasts from initial outreach to contract signing and expansion
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience selling technology services, data solutions, or artificial intelligence offerings to financial services clients
- Track record as a new-logo hunter with proven ability to independently originate opportunities, close initial engagements, and expand relationships
- Established executive network at the Managing Director level and higher among COOs, CIOs, and operations leaders
- End-to-end enterprise sales expertise spanning relationship building, qualification, solution design, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure
- Consultative approach with the ability to comprehend AI deployment concepts and collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northeast region
Qualifications
- Prior experience co-selling alongside hyperscalers or AI laboratories
- Background in marketing data or artificial intelligence platforms bundled with services
- Pre-existing professional connections inside alternative asset managers, global banking institutions, or insurance companies
- Current residence in New York or readiness to relocate there
Core Skills
Benefits
- Annual base salary between USD 340,000 and 395,000
